Changing Your Email

You can change your email yourself. Open the account menu at the top right of any page and pick Change Email.

What Changes

One change moves two things: the email you sign in with, and the address we send notifications to. They move together, so there's no second form to fill in afterwards. Your password stays the same.

Orders you've already placed and support requests you've already opened keep the address that was on them at the time. Shipping notifications and replies about those still go to the old inbox, so it's worth watching that one until they're finished. Everything new goes to the new address.

How to Change It

• 1. Open the account menu at the top right and pick Change Email.
• 2. Type the address you want to move to, then click Send Code.
• 3. Check your current inbox for a 6-digit code. Enter it and click Continue.
• 4. Check your new inbox for a second 6-digit code. Enter it and click Change My Email.
• 5. Click Sign Out, then sign back in with the new address.

You do have to sign out at the end. Your browser is still holding a session that was issued under the old address, and signing in again is what replaces it.

If a Code Doesn't Arrive

Codes last 15 minutes. If one hasn't shown up after a minute or two, check your spam folder, then use Send Another on the code screen. That cancels the previous code, so use the newest email you've got.

Five wrong codes cancels the request, and you'll start again from the account menu. Starting again costs you nothing.

If You Can't Get Into Your Old Inbox

The first code goes to your current address, so this won't work if that inbox is gone. Send us a support request from the Help area instead. Tell us the address you want to move to and give us a recent order number or one of your book titles, and we'll make the change for you.

Addresses You Can't Use

An address can only be on one Quill & Courier account. If it's already registered to another one, you'll see that before any code is sent. Sign in to that account and change its email first, or pick a different address.
